Recovery Center for the Arts was designed with the idea that all mediums of art serve a purpose in the expression of self. We believe that through music, painting, photography, and writing, those living with mental health and substance use disorders can find their voice.
Our team provides you with tools to gain experience in new hobbies that replace the void substances were filling. We uphold ourselves to the highest of standards, and our goal is to inspire healing through creative outlets.
At Recovery Center for the Arts, our philosophy is to try everything.
We are not solely based on 12-step programming, but we encourage you to try it to see if it is a fit for you. Our goal is to offer options so you have the choice of what works best for your own needs and goals. The mission of Recovery Center for the Arts is to provide a structured, nurturing, and creative environment for individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. We are committed to supporting each individual's unique journey toward healing, recovery, and self-discovery. Our purpose is to offer a comprehensive and holistic approach to recovery by integrating evidence-based therapies with creative outlets. We believe in the power of self-expression and self-discovery through art and creativity. Our program is designed to empower individuals to rediscover their inner strengths and find recovery through creativity.

Recovery Center for the Arts (RCFTA) operates two facilities to cater to different needs: one provides supportive residential housing, while the other offers Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and other outpatient services. Our supportive residential housing facility, the Garfield Recovery House, is situated near Phoenix, Arizona, offering housing options for men and women aged 18-45. Our aim is to ensure seamless access to treatment post-rehabilitation. RCFTA remains committed to providing ongoing support during and after the treatment process.
Here at Recovery Center for the Arts, we understand how mental health shares involvement with substance use disorders. Not only do we address and treat all types of addiction, but our team also identifies, diagnoses, and treats mental health conditions. Our addiction treatments include:
Our dedicated and compassionate team specializes in dual diagnosis and can treat many mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and personality disorders. Recovery Centers for the Arts believes in treating both mental health and addiction simultaneously to provide ease of access to treatment.

PHP provides a structured program of outpatient substance use disorder treatment services. You receive treatment during the day, 5 days a week, for 4 weeks. An inpatient overnight stay is not required, but supportive living at Garfield House is available for the duration of PHP. Our PHP is currently open to anyone ages 18-45.
IOP is an intensive treatment plan that offers therapy and support sessions several times per week, allowing individuals to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities while receiving focused treatment for addiction. After completing PHP, we recommend our patients continue with IOP. In addition, care coordinators can help secure short and long-term supportive housing.
This service involves regularly scheduled counseling and therapeutic sessions for ongoing support. Outpatient services provide support and guidance while you maintain your success in recovery.
